Board of Directors

Dawar’s Board of Directors is made up of the most prominent professionals in our community. Our Board members were selected for their personal and professional experiences and are dedicated to Dawar’s continued success. 

Albert Dombrowski, Chairman

Al held various executive positions with Sears over a period of 33 years. He retired as Corporate Vice President of Sears after serving as a national Business Manager and Operations officer of North Eastern U.S. He has served on the board of Trustees of Peoples Savings Bank, CT, and was Vice Chairman of Western Auto. He became an investor in Dawar in 1998 and joined our board of directors. In 2002 he was elected Chairman and has continued in that position. He served as a director of Pyramid Composites as well as Executive Vice President of Winner International and Chief Operating Officer of Winner Steel. He served as Vice Chairman of Guardian Security International and presently serves as Chairman of Amwell LLC, Hong Kong.  He also serves on the Board of Directors for Dawar International, LLC. and the Board of Directors for General Contact Electronics Limited, a Hong Kong company. He presently serves as Chairman of the advisory board of J.W.I, Johnstown, PA, and E.T.C. Environmental Tank Car Company. He continues to serve on the board of Cohera Medical Inc, Pittsburgh, PA and is Chairman of Trident Technologies. Al continues to serve as President and an officer on not-for-profit organizations.

Brian Bucher, Secretary/Treasurer

Brian Bucher is the Regional President of the State of Alabama for PNC Financial. He was previously the Regional President and CEO of National City Bank, Northwest Region. Brian’s previous work included Senior Vice President at NatCity Investments, where he specialized in the firm’s work in mergers and acquisitions and was involved in products including private placements of both debt and equity securities, valuations and other advisory services. Brian serves as Secretary/Treasurer on the Board of Dawar Technologies. He also serves on the Board of Dawar International, LLC. and General Contact Electronics Limited, a Hong Kong company.

Brian earned his M.B.A from Baldwin Wallace College and his bachelor’s degree in finance from The Ohio State University. He also holds Series 7 and 63 securities licenses.

Carl Snyder, Director

Carl joined Dawar Technologies from Quality Fabricating Inc., a precision metal fabricator, where he served as President and CEO. Previously Carl worked for J&L Structural for 13 years in various executive positions, including President, Vice President and Treasurer. Carl was one of three partners to start J&L Structural and grow the business from $38 million in sales to over $110 million. Prior to J & L, Carl held various management roles at LTV Steel. In addition, Carl has also been a successful entrepreneur/consultant to a number of companies. Some of the previous positions he has held are Executive Vice President of Fourteenth Street Corporation, a land and building company; Vice President and Treasurer of Precision Galvanizing Inc., a producer of galvanized steel sheets; and Vice Chairman of Dawar Technologies. Carl received a B.A. in Mathematics and Political Science from Lehigh University and a M.B.A. from Duquesne University. He also serves on the Board of Directors for Dawar International, LLC. and the Board of Directors for General Contact Electronics Limited, a Hong Kong company.

Dennis Fitzgerald, President and CEO

Dennis brings over 26 years of sales, product development and operations experience from his work with industry-leading manufacturers such as Johnson Controls, Dynamet Incorporated and Fisher Scientific. These industries varied in scope from building automation systems to the manufacture of precision forged & machined components for the orthopedic and aerospace industries. Prior to joining Dawar Technologies, Dennis was the Director of Operations for Fisher Scientific’s Electrochemistry Division. Dennis has been with Dawar Technologies since March of 2002. Dennis has a Bachelor’s of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Marquette University and a Masters in Business Administration from Katz Graduate School of Business, University of Pittsburgh.

Andrea Dombrowski

Andrea Dombrowski is a multi-disciplined professional with over 30 years of corporate, non-profit, and entrepreneurial experience in logistics, finance, administration, health, wellness and fitness industries. She spent a decade with Olin Corporation in various domestic and international logistics positions. She worked in finance in New York City for a decade with J.P. Morgan and Goldman Sachs in various roles in the equity and investment management divisions. Following the latter she worked for a non-profit start up, American Corporate Partners, as a Chief Administration Officer. The last fifteen years she’s been involved in the health, fitness and wellness industries. She is the founder of Yoga4Triathletes and Life Improvement Body-Mind.

Andrea is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University where she earned a B.S. in Logistics. Her professional schools, certifications and licenses include: Former: NASD Series 7, 63, 55, Bloomberg, Technical Analysis, Le Credit Documentaire, World Trade Institute, CDL, DOT, IATA. Present: American Council on Exercise, Personal Trainer, Yoga Alliance 200RYT, Licensed Massage Therapist.

Her volunteering, fundraising, and competitive athletic pursuits included Junior Achievement, Student Sponsorship Program, Multiple Sclerosis Society, Team & Training Lymphoma Society, Swim Across America, Girls Inc., YMCA, Mountaineering, Sarasota Farmers Market, United States Rowing, and Masters Swimming. She’s completed 10 world marathons, major mountain climbs in 4 continents, and received All-American Honors in USA Masters Swimming, 7 individual, 56 relay and is a Pan American Master Games medalist: gold, silver, and bronze.

David Butler

David possesses over 28 years of experience in multi-national organizations primarily in the medical device industry.  Most recently David served as Vice-President, Global Operations and Supply Chain for Phillips-Respironics, a global division of Royal Philips Incorporated.  In this role he transformed the Operations and Supply Chain function into a differentiating asset for the business through the development of core competencies in Customer Service/Product Support, Specialty Molding, Postponement, Quality and Flexible Automation.  David has held various roles across the Supply Chain function throughout his career, most notably in Purchasing where his work has been  chronicled as part the book “The Incredible Payback” by Nelson, Moody and Stegner and as a contributing author of the book “Next Level Supply Management Excellence: Your Straight to the Bottom-Line Roadmap” by Rudzki and Trent.

Recognized as a successful cross-cultural leader, David has led manufacturing facilities in North America, China, Costa Rica, and The Philippines.  He has developed strategic supplier relationships in many countries, most notably Germany, France, Mexico, China, Japan, Taiwan, and Thailand.

Currently David has taken his business experience and combined it with his passion for developing the next generation of business leaders, to create a second career, serving as a Professor of Supply Chain and International Business at Grove City College, teaching courses Supply Chain Management, Negotiation, and Global Business.

David holds Bachelor of Science and Master of Science Degrees from the University of Pittsburgh.
