GG2 (Glass-Glass2)

Dawar’s Double-Sided-ITO (GG2) PCAP touch screens consist of a front glass lens bonded to a glass sensor that has its circuits formed on both sides of the same piece of glass. This sensor construction is also commonly referred to as DITO. The GG2 construction provides the benefits of a thin stackup with the superior optical quality of glass.  Cover lenses are available in a variety of thicknesses and materials.  The cover lens can also include custom decorations (logos, outlines, text, etc.) and other add-ons including anti-smudge, anti-fingerprint, anti-glare, etc.
 

GG (Glass-Glass) & GGG (Glass-Glass-Glass)

Dawar’s Glass-Glass PCAP touch screens consist of two glass circuits bonded together. A GG sensor is most commonly rear mounted in an enclosure so that the visible traces around the perimeter of the touch sensor are hidden from view.  A cover lens can also be added as a third layer making a GGG touch screen.  GGG touch screens are generally more expensive than a GG2 (DITO) sensor.  But in some cases a GGG touch screen with three layers of glass can offer more protection than a GG2 (DITO) touch screen.  Cover lenses are available in a variety of thicknesses and materials.  The cover lens can also include custom decorations (logos, outlines, text, etc.) and other add-ons including anti-smudge, anti-fingerprint, anti-glare, etc. 
 

GFF (Glass-Film-Film) & GF (Glass-Film)

Dawar's Glass-Film-Film PCAP touch screens consist of two film circuits bonded to a glass cover lens.  GFF constructions are ideal for users who are looking for the same durability as our GG2 product but require an overall thinner and lighter solution. 

Our Glass-Film PCAP touch screens consist of one film circuit bonded to one glass circuit and are typically mounted into the enclosure from the rear so that the bezel hides the visible traces around the sensor's active area.  GF products are targetted at users who are looking for the same durability as our GG2 products but do not require a cover lens.

SITO (Single Sided ITO)

Dawar's Single Sided ITO (SITO) PCAP touch screens consist of a front glass lens with a glass sensor that has circuits formed on one side.  Microcrossovers, formed from an insulator and a conductor, are placed on the circuit to provide connections where two circuits intersect.  SITO designs are most typically used in high volume consumer products.  Dawar's GG2 sensors offer the same benefits as SITO and are usually more cost effective for our customers.  Dawar offers SITO designs for those projects where SITO is more appropriate than GG2.
