GLASS FRONT RESISTIVE SCREENS (GFG)
The Glass Front durability and feel of capacitive touch screens with the input functionality of Resistive Touch Screens makes Dawar’s new Glass-Film-Glass (GFG) touch screens the perfect solution for harsh environments and public use applications. Dawar’s initial GFG offering is based on 5-wire technology to meet the highest actuation life requirements as an alternative to traditional Surface Capacitive technology where the use of a conductive stylus is not feasible.
BENEFITS
| Durable Glass Front | Greater than 7H pencil hardness will endure the harsh military, kiosk and public interface environments that typical top film constructions cannot tolerate. |
| Input Independent | Unlike surface capacitive, non-conductive devices will actuate the screen. |
| High Use Endurance | 35 million actuations with 5-wire technology. |
| Scratch Resistant | May Function Even if Top Layer is Damaged |
| Contamination Resistant | Not Affected by Dirt, Dust, Water, Chemical Solvents or Light |
| Various Standard Sizes | From 7.0” to 17.1” standard resistive touch screens. See Standard Sizes |
| Applications | Point of sale, kiosks, voting machines, financial devices, gaming machines |
| Controllers | USB, RS-232 and PS/2 |
